- Review for stainless steel version
I bought this teapot to match my stainless steel appliances.I am definitely not disappointed with how it looks. The stainless steel looks great. It functions as a teapot, although the whistle is very loud. This may or may not be a bad thing depending on your own tastes. My previous teapot was much quieter (but still plenty loud to alert me to boiling water). The handle also gets quite hot, to the point one should probably use a hot pad to pick up the kettle. My prior teapot definitely did ... - Really nice kettle the 2nd time around
I purchased this kettle (silver) and was really impressed with its looks. Unfortunately the whistle didn't work. I boxed mine up and shipped it back to KitchenAid and after about three weeks they sent me a new replacement. This one works great and has a loud whistle but the overall purchase price increased by ten dollars since I wasn't reimbursed my shipping fees. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for this.

- Great kettle
I have been using this kettle for about a week now and I'm very satisfied. Not sure why some reviewers have complained that the handle gets hot: it doesn't. I have no complaints whatsoever.

- Attractive vs. LOUD
We got the black porcelain enamel exterior style. It is really pretty. The compact style is nice also.Except that the compact style makes it hard to pour the last of the water out of the pot due to the odd angle at which you have to hold it.My main complaint is the intensely loud screech of the pot. No one in the house can sleep through that. That is a quality of life issue if you are woken up too early. Also the handle does get hot, but that hasn't bothered me much. If I had it to do over, I ...
