The fun of fondue gets a sleek and convenient makeover with this Cuisinart electric fondue maker. Designed for use with oil, broth, chocolate, or cheese, the set combines powerful electric heat with easy temperature control and handsome but tidy construction. The 3-quart stainless-steel bowl is lined with nonstick coating for keeping heated foods from sticking, and the stand, bowl, ring, and temperature probe all assemble and disassemble easily. A combination of finishes--brushed on the bowl and ring, mirror on the stand and handles—gives the unit a contemporary flair. Heat up is efficient here--getting oil to 375 degrees F takes between 10 and 15 minutes. Best of all, you can change the temperature setting with a simple turn of the dial to adjust for different ingredients or the passage of time. I purchase this fondue pot from Amazon a couple of weeks ago.I wasn't sure if I would use it but after having a surprise birthday party for a friend; another friend brought cheese fondue and I thought it was great. She had the Rival fondue pot. I researched several other fondue pots and when I saw this one I loved the way it looked.I have a chocolate fondue fountain but it has its limitation (mostly just for chocolate).I used this Cuisinart Fondue Pot for a baby shower.It looks awesome and ... - Works Great, Melting Pot at home at a fraction of the cost!!!!
Went online and found recipes for my favorites and made them at home in livingroom. Dinner was awesome.
Rating: - Nice pot for occassional use
If you just want a fondue pot for every now and them, this is a good one. It gets the broth nice and hot and cooks the food well. Its a wide pot so make sure you put enough liquid in to cover the meat, that was a problem we had with one recipe. Made very well and seems durable.

Cuisinart means quality. Used mine for three years with no problem...bought one for my parents since they like mine so much. Cleans easy and holds a ton. If anything it is too big, but that is not much of a negative. I like the fact that the heating element is magnetically connected to the power cord. That way if you move it suddenly it will not bend the element or break the cord. The cord is a bit short. A short extension cord would be needed to take the pot to a table if you wanted it to continue ... Read More

Some may argue that an electric fondue pot lacks the romance of the open flame...but when you're after convenience, this is the way to go. I love the large pot size--great for parties--and the nonstick interior makes cleanup a breeze. I have had very good results using this pot, as it heats quickly and evenly.
