Average Rating: out of 5 stars
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fabulous film for more mature high school students
Typical of NOVA, this is a film with solid film-making, substance and appeal. It addresses some mature themes such as impoverished African women forced into lives of prostitution and the effects of AIDS in Africa. Its real-life interviews and serious themes require a more mature high school audience, but they will be riveted throughout the film.It clearly addresses human population dynamics, a required topic in upper Biology classes.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - World in the Balance
I used this in an AP Environmental Science classroom and it had the attention of all 24 students, and that is rare, even in an AP class.
Excellent presentation that produced many different discussions about the future of the planet.
Highly recommended.

2.The DVD says that there is one thing worse than more people is affluence. The DVD believes that more people are bad.It is based on the belief that the earth can only support a certain number of people.People have been producing alarmist documents for 200 years warning of the ... Read More
