Plain and simple:The battery holds up.It takes a charge and holds a charge.Some cheap batteries have a higher mAH rating, but if they can't hold the charge, they're not meeting the need.Past experience with other Canon batteries for other cameras convinced me that I couldn't afford to go cheap.However, I still can't give 5 stars because of the price.

I got this battery with my 40D camera.It works fine, but I have to recharge it every second or third day of use.I just carry my camera with me when I walk my dog or going fishing, and occassionally for some macro shots in my back yard; so I may take an average of 10-12 shots a day without flash.Maybe I use the LCD too much, I don't know.What I do know is that I don't even get close to the number of photos the camera manual states I should.On the other hand, I have a high-end, high-power ... I'm satifsited with the item. Nothing damage there and here. Delivery arrived earlier than expected date, though.

Reliable and quality product. This battery maintains its charge for a very long time and delivers the amount of power necessary for about 300 pictures RAW on my Canon 40D (without flash).

Got this battery as a spare to use in my grip.Now I have more battery power than you could believe!Great factory canon battery!
