- Coffee anyone?
It may not have been 100% exactly the same fit asmy original one but it does the job baby!
Rating:
- Works Well -
Works well but messy to get the grounds out. Also some fine particles of coffee get through.
It may be retired for emergency use only, when I run out of brown paper filters.
Rating:
- Good value for the price
The Cuisinart filter represents good value for the price. It is not the best filter out there, but neither is it priced like the "best" quality. The old Krups I had was a bit better - at about twice the price. i'd buy this one again.
Rating:
- Not as golden as it used to be...
It's a fine coffee filter, but not gold, which is a pity. The gold was meant to keep the filter from being tainted by off tastes: it presumably doesn't do this any more. I hope my taste buds don't notice the difference.
Rating:
- Better than paper
I've had the same filter for at least 15 years--it's outlasted I don't know how many coffee makers and carafes. The secret is never to put it in the dishwasher, and use dish soap on it as seldom as possible. Clean daily (gently) with hot water and a cloth, and hand-wash with dish soap every couple of weeks.
I wouldn't go back to paper filters. This makes much less mess and saves trees.
