- Finally, CPRM DVD-RW available in US
JVC DVD-RW 4X discs are CPRM compatible, meaning that you can record "once" a hollywood movie that will not record at all on DVD-R discs(video mode) since they started blocking that early last year. The disc itself is encoded to prevent you from making additional copies which conforms to the CPRM "once" code that hollywood is using on the premium movie channels. Very reliable, unfinalize your disc and re-use it for up to 1,000 times! You need to use a super-multi recorder in VR mode.

- Doesn't work with a Sharp
I have a Sharp DVD/VCR recorder and I cannot find any RW discs to work with it.I thought I had found one that might by reding reviews on my machine. The Sharp Customer Service is absolutely useless and can't seem to find any RW's that work with my machine. So, basically the DVD recorder portion is totally useless.
If there is anyone out there who might know of RW's that work on Sharp machines, let me know lol

- Works Good
I bought these as they were recommended by the model dvd I have.No problems- good quality recording.I only use them to record and re-record tv programs. Also, they are compatitable with my other Sony DVD player.Hard to find, so get 'em while you can.
