The Wusthof 2-Stage Knife Sharpener has a coarse carbide side that sets the knife's edge and a fine ceramic side to finish the edge. The non-slip rubber feet help to keep the sharpener in place for safe use, and the sharpener's small size makes it perfect to take along while camping, fishing, or hunting. Some knives are so dull they need a major edge reset; others are pretty sharp already but just need some fine-tuning. This handy pocket sharpener from Wüsthof does both. Clearly labeled Coarse/Carbide and Fine/Ceramic, the two slots on the sharpener let you know which to use. Set the edge on a dull knife with the carbide, then hone with the ceramic; or, simply keep your good knives razor-sharp with the ceramic honing slot. - One Great Sharpener
This pocket sharpener is wonderful. Im useing on my deployment in Iraq and it has stood up to most everything I have dropped on it and put through it. It sharpend my smooth blade which was dinged up and dulled from constant use in the feild. I have used it often it is the only knife sharpener in my sqaud and everyone uses it. It takes a few swipes and the blade comes out smooth and sharp. Its small so it makes it easy to carry and fits in most kits. I think any Cook, Hunter, or Outdoors person should ... Read More

very easy to use.very sharp knives.well made and simple.all the best things.
it is not a grinder: so do not expect to remove dings in blades, but even with dings, my sharpened knife slices through ripe tomatoes, which it hasn't done in years.
just one of those really great products.

Holy mackerel!I have some awesome knives (bought here on Amazon) and wanted to keep them razor sharp.Well, this little sharpener does the trick.(Ask the emergency room attendants at my local hospital).Because my knives are so sharp now I have also ordered a cut resistant glove.LOL.In summary, for the price you can't go wrong with this.It is a great product that will get lots of use.

I really thought this was a great product.I wish it had instructions but I figured it out.It has skid resistant pads on it so you can set it on the cutting board to use.I don't think it was unsafe. Small and easy to store. Worked great!
