- Caught fire on the first use
The first time I used this, it caught fire. It was no where near the flames, but the fire resistant mitt caught fire. If it burns on the first use, it's not worth the $5 I spent on it.
Rating: - Handle Mitt
Have two of these little Handle Mitts, they work pretty well with my Lodge Cast Iron Pots. They can't stay on the handles too long though. But for a quick pick up of the lids and hold on the pots, It works good enough for me. Would I buy these again, Yes!

So much better than a regular potholder, wish they made one for the lid!! Could fit tighter though!!

They fit not only a regular skillet handle, but also the double handle of the "combo cooker" that has a handle for both lid and pot.
No heat transferred whatsoever to my hands, even after keeping them on the handle for 20 minutes.
Not sure why others are having trouble with scorching.I used these in the kitchen.Perhaps over the open flame of camping I'll find out otherwise...if so, I'll update my review.

The handle is HOT! This Mitt will look good on your Lodge Pans and Skillets! I just wish they came with each pan originally.
