Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned 9-Quart Dutch Oven with Iron Cover I purchased this dutch oven, and was amazed by the quality of this product.I used it to make sausage and rice Jambalaya, and it
tasted great!.There's something about cooking in a cast iron piece of cookware that makes food taste great.I look forward to cooking many more mealsin my new Dutch Oven.

I love this! I bought it to make chicken stock. I had the 6qt. enameled dutch oven but, I could only make stock with one chicken at a time. Sometimes, I'd end up making stock for two days just to get the chicken & stock that I wanted. Now, two days work is reduced to one. It is just perfect. Last night, I roasted two chickens in it and they turned out great. Even the kids thought that the chicken tasted better than when I was making the roasters in either Pyrex or my big roasting pan. I've been waiting for quite some time for the free shipping to be available on this product Lodge 9 qt Dutch Oven. It is everything I expected it to be. We have cooked with cast iron for 40 plus years, it's a way of life for us. Both of us grew up on farms and it's a given that cast iron is the way to go. Just use common sense and the cookware will take care of itself.

I was pleased with the size of this Dutch oven. It is a very versatile tool indeed - perfect for frying, roasting, and stovetop cooking in large quantities. I cannot imagine my chili in any other receptacle. At 22 lbs with free shipping, the Amazon buy is a steal. As soon as I unwrapped it I cooked up a mess of collard greens. For as big as it is, the weight is manageable. My only qualm is that I wish it were slightly narrower and deeper rather than wider and shallower. The width makes for a lot of necessary ... Read More
