Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Buy a different toaster!
As other reviewers have stated, there are many things wrong with this model --- not the least of which is that there is no cancellation once the lever is depressed. If your bread is burning, the only option is to unplug the machine . . . you cannot lift the lever to stop the toasting process, changing the selection dial does not stop the toasting process . . . run, run, run away from this model!I read one review where the consumers have had it for over 10 years and another where the toaster broke ... Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Worst toaster imaginable
This is everything a toaster shouldn't be. It doesn't really toast the bread, it just burns stips of it, leaving the rest of the bread untouched. If you use the toaster twice in a row, the second batch of bread will be twice as burnt as the first. And DO NOT BUY THIS if you have children or if you like your fingerprints where they are. Because the entire toaster gets SEARING HOT when used and WILL BURN whoever touches it.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - pure junk!
I love toast, and for years was a die-hard toaster oven fan. When my last one stopped working, and all I could find was "Made in China" (even DiLonghi!) I decided to save some counter space and get a toaster. Since cash was tight, I bought this one at the supermarket and despite wishing I could pop the toast out easily to check for done we got along just fine. Until, about a year into our toasty relationship, it decided to quit lowering the bread. Even holding it down didn't lead to toast, so I went ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Buy cheap, buy twice
This toaster has only one thing to recommend it--the low price. Because it didn't cost much, you won't be as upset when you have to toss it in the garbage. It does not toast even a basic item like an English muffin on the very highest setting. Then, if you want to try to get the muffin more toasted by running it through again, you have to stand there and manually hold the lever down, who knows why? Conversely, if you want to remove something before the cycle finishes, the only way to do it is to unplug ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Broken out of the box
I bought this toaster at a local store today.Took it out of the box, plugged it in, put in a piece of bread, pushed it down and it popped right back up.Tried several times.Nada.The catch mechanism to keep the bread down was obviously defective.I'm taking it back to the store for a refund and will get something decent from Amazon.Don't buy this piece of garbage.
