- Still going strong - 1 year later!
This blender gets used several times a week.I selected the brand Oster because my mom's food processor has lasted her about a decade, and shows no signs of wearing down anytime soon.
I received this blender in June 2008.I use it for a variety of things:
- Fruit Smoothies
- Thick Milkshakes
- Homemade Frosting
- Margaritas
- Other Recipes
It is easy to use, dishwasher safe (a MUST in my house), and it looks great if you leave it out on the ... Read More
Rating: - Osterizers rule(d?)!
I've owned blenders for decades. I started with Waring but tired of their motors burning out and bought an Osterizer 10 speed with glass container some 25 years ago. That blender finally died this week, the motor burning out (what a smell!). Now, it was only 120 watts, so I suppose I was fortunate it lasted for around 25 years considering the punishment it got -- I often made peanut butter in it from oven roasted peanuts, and it died making peanut butter!

I do smoothies every day with frozen fruit and this blender is great for that.I like that it has many ranges of control as well as a low/high selection.It is a powerful and well made blender that cleans up easily.Great buy.

This is a great blender at a good price. It's powerful and solidly built, and the glass pitcher and base seem indestructible. Crushes ice easily and has made short work of any blending job we have.
