- Don't use Amazon's compatibility checker... HP 96 ink cartridge
Well I made the mistake of using Amazon's "Will This Work with Your Printer?" and unfortunately now I can't review the quality of the ink, because when I put the cartridge in, my printer tells me its incompatible.It fits in there fine and supposedly interchanges with the standard black ink cartridge for my printer, but obviously HP doesn't want you to use the higher capacity ink cartridges on some printers...
So I am buying a much better priced no-name alternative and throwing this ... Read More

- Larger ink capacity than most
It's hard to complain with the larger ink capacity (21ml) and HP's method of incorporating a new print head with each new cartridge. Buying directly from HP is a good economical alternative.

Ink sometimes prints with lines (pins are broken), and ink is expensive but there isn't a lot of options this is the most affordable black ink option for my printer

I bought the refurbished version of this cartridge.It produces good quality prints and is WAY cheaper.It seems to last the same number of pages as the new cartridge.I don't see why anyone would buy new ink.

HP makes good printers.This is good ink for those good printers.Unlike some other manufacturers, the ink lasts more than a few pages so it's worth it even if a tad more expensive.
