Amazon.com Product Description:
Ideal for home offices or small businesses that send out a high volume of mail, the PS100 postal scale helps you determine the correct postage for any item weighing between 0 and 10 pounds. The scale is equipped with four optimally placed single-strain gauges and a temperature-compensated load cell. In layman's terms, this means the scale is precise to within 0.1 of an ounce, so you needn't worry about your mail being rejected because of insufficient postage. In addition, the weighing platform, which measures 5.5 by 5 inches and is made of fine-textured, high-impact ABS plastic, sports a fold-up top for weighing oversized items, such as large flat envelopes or mailing tubes.
Other conveniences include an easy-to-read seven-segment LCD display, a Tare function that lets you re-set the "zero" weight (great for weighing loose items in a container without counting the container itself), mechanical overload protection should you weigh an item that exceeds 10 pounds, and a five-minute auto-off function that preserves power. Plus, you can power the scale via either the included AC adapter or a separately sold 9-volt battery. The latter option is great for business professionals who travel frequently to trade shows and other on-the-go locations.
The PS100 scale, which features a warm-up time of one minute and a minimum weight of 0.1 ounce, is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

Rating:
- Small and simple
Small scale, seems accurate and does what it is supposed to do - weigh letters and small packages. Not good for large boxes even if under ten pounds as the platform is compact.
Rating:
- postal digital scale
I've owed this product a few years. Haven't used it too often but I've been pleased with it when I have used it. It takes alittle while to figure out it functions again because it may be six months or more between uses. Well worth the cheap price.

- Defective
Huh. This scale worked fine enough in theory, but basically started falling apart within a few months of owning it, even under very light use.
After about 6 months of use, it stopped recognizing the AC adapter, and so would only run in battery mode. Three months later, it started giving basically random (and ever-increasing) weights for anything put on the scale, and so I had to throw it away.
Not recommended.

- Does the job expected
Doing small volume eBay business, this scale is just what I needed to allow accurate shipping pricing on my listings. It registers exactly the same as post office scales. I'm very pleased with it. It saves me time and money
by purchasing my postage on line.

- Accurate, but best for small packages.
I've been using this scale nearly every day for many months now. It's perfectly accurate and dependable, but incredibly frustrating for all but small packages. Larger packages block the readout, and the weight reading vanishes as soon as you remove the package. The last scale I had held the reading for several seconds, and I'm now looking for another scale that does that, as I've hit my limit for trying to adjust the package "just so" to read the weight, or remove it fast enough, or get down on the ...
