- Great product!
This blender is powerful and of high quality. We are pleased with it and use it daily. We used the container once and that worked well also.
Rating:
- Piece of crap!
I bought this against my better judgment only because I knew I would upgrade to one of those fantastic braun multiquicks with their fabulous array of attachments that my sister waxes lyrical about (she has one in the UK). The really top ones from that range don't seem to be available in the US so I thought this would do for my remaining few years here. But think again - the chopper hasn't worked once!

- Multi- vs. single-use appliances: reasonable expectations
I received the Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender with whipping and chopping attachments for Christmas, two Christmases ago (xmas '07). It is still going strong, with almost daily use, and some specialized uses. I think it is a very good product. It's primary intended use is as a hand blender, and it excels at that.
The chopping and whipping attachments do work, and work well enough in a limited cooking context. I wouldn't expect them to be otherwise: the first two words in this product ... Read More

- Fine for a few months then quality problems set in...
Hi
This echoes what has been written by so many others here.....
For the first few months everything works perfectly. Then, for no reason, the chopper attachment stops working as the teeth in the lid strip.
While the concept is great, the poor quality in manufacturing lets the SmartStick down.

- Cheap Plastic Construction of Critical Parts
After perhaps 6 uses within the first 2 months the plastic shaft on the food processor that connects the attachment to the motor shredded. As a result the mini food processor attachment no longer works. Why you would engineer such critical components so prone to failure is beyond me. The socket and mating shaft should have been made of metal instead of plastic.
