Product Description:
Coffee brewed with cold water? Now that is certainly an unusual approach, but one with roots deep in Peruvian history. In fact, cold brewing extracts the flavorful aromatic solids while leaving behind many of the oils and acids that can make coffee taste bitter. Lab tests show that hot brewed coffee has over three times more acid than coffee brewed with the Toddy. To make a cup of hot coffee simply add three parts boiling water to one part coffee concentrate. Make as much or as little as you like!

- Best coffee ever!
Such a simple system, yet it makes the best coffee ever.My favorite is to make it iced where I use 3/4 milk and 1/4 toddy straight from the fridge, a drink we used to sell back in the 80's when I worked at a coffee store before the whole Starbucks movement.
This is my second unit, over the years I first broke my carafe and then steadily lost the filters and the stopper and then finally the tub grew legs and disappeared.Recently I searched Amazon out of curiosity and sure enough I was ... Read More

- Room for improvement
I agree with the positive things that have been said so I will not dwell on them - the coffee tastes great. I would like, however, to highlight the areas of this product that could be improved.
Value. First off there's an overall feeling of cheapness with the thin white plastic. I received this as a gift and was surprised to learn it was $30! I would have guessed $20.
Directions. They're dense. They're written like a novel so when you're trying to make coffee for the first time ... Read More

- It's not that complicated
Seriously. We have been using this system for 10 years now.Everyone who tries it is addicted to the taste.Make sure the filter is good and wet before you dump the dry coffee into the white plastic container. We add 2 capfulls of vanilla extract and a dash of salt to the grounds after putting in the initial 2 cups of water.Let that stand for 2 hours and put in 8 more cups of water.let the whole thing stand for 8-12 hours, pull the plug over the glass caraffe and you have perfect coffee.I don't ...
