- It worked great for a while.
I was very impressed with the size of the screen on this unit.It worked great for me all winter long displaying very accurate temperatures even when it was way below zero.Unfortunately the outdoor sensor quit working after only a few months of service.Also, if you lose your manual it's really difficult to find one online.After much digging I finally found the manual here: http://www.lacrossetechnology.com/fx5000/manual.pdf

After our original weather station was dropped and broke, it was reassuring to get this new version that is smaller and displays more information in an easier to read format.
