This handsome, well-made chaise is tailor-made forsoaking up the sun or relaxing by the pool. A unique traytable extends to hold drinks, magazines, and other loungingessentials, then slides back underneath for storage. The backadjusts to five positions--from fully-upright tocompletely-reclined. Matching cushions can also be purchasedto add even more comfort.
The bench's slotted surfaceallows rain to flow through, rather than collect and damagethe wood. The piece is made from kapur wood, a high-densitySoutheast Asian hardwood with excellent weather-resistantproperties. Light enough to move easily around deck or lawn,kapur requires no finishing and is exceptionally-sturdy--withenough oil to repel the ravages of rain, sun, and dew.Rust-resistant hardware and mortise and tenon constructionalso add to the piece's strength and durability.
Beforeshipment, your new furniture received a generous applicationof teak oil. Teak oil provides protection from the ultravioletsunrays. Left untreated, Kapur will weather to a soft warmshade of gray similar to the weathering of teak. If you preferto prevent this weathering process, you may apply additionalcoats of teak oil. The frequency of necessary teak oilapplications will depend on the intensity of the sun in yourenvironment, but typically, one or two coats per year issufficient. Teak oil can usually be found at a marine dealer,hardware store, or internet dealer. If you allow yourfurniture to weather, you may later decide that you would wantto restore it to its original condition. This is possible byusing teak cleaner products, also available at most marinedealers and internet dealers. After following the instructionsfor cleaning, you will want to apply a coat of teak oil toprevent the weathering process.

I purchased two Strathwood Chaise Lounges and I'm very happy with my purchase.The assembly was pretty easy, about 20 minutes for each lounger.Seems to have great quality and my teenagers have really enjoyed sun bathing on them.They are very easy to maneuver around the backyard.I definitely recommend this product, especially at this price!

Quality high, product very nice.It is very heavy, so you need a place to store it where you don't have to lift it.A little cumbersome to store, but I've really enjoyed it.

We love the chaise lounges. They are very sturdy and seem to be well made. We like the little shelves that slide out of either side yet stay hidden if you do not need them. My husband and I are both pleased with this product. You do want to purchase the cushions, though, they make it much more comfortable. We also like how the lounger adjusts to sitting up or completely flat. We had shopped around and for the price we found these to be the best buy.

Apprehensively we purchased 2 of these chaise lounges. The feedback of the stain washing off was a detraction. However; I thought if this was a real problem we could add sealant before use.
They arrived in 2 days. The set up was not difficult; however, does require minimal labor.
Once assembled we tested the stain and nothing came off. Purchased cushions and have been enjoying the backyard oasis ever since! The side table is really spacious to hold a book, laptop, beverages. ... Read More

I was pshyced once I put these chaise lounges together and saw how nice they were in person. Some of the reviews were a little mixed and any time you buy something offline you run the risk of not liking the item when you receive it. The best price and best value out there, bar none. The stain problem some people had i hope i remedied by putting a coat of teak oil on it and i bought nice covers for the chairs when not in use. I had all the hardware when delivered, the chairs were not damaged, and they went ... Read More
