- Big pot with a multitude of uses
We were looking for a dutch oven that could accommodate one-pot meals with many ingredients... this is the one.It braises well, provides even heat and cleans up nicely.My husband and I selected Calphalon One as our cookware set when we were married six years ago and we have experienced firsthand its high quality performance.

We purchased the item mainly for a pasta pot because you can easly lay in whole pasta. But we have since found many uses for this large,easy to clean and rugged pot. The deal was hassel free. I tracked the pot as it made it's journey across the states and it arrived on time and in perfect condition. I trust this site and this seller.

I bought this as a Christmas gift to my daughter & her husband.
They take turns doing the cooking & requested a large dutch oven.
I chose the Calphalon 8 1/2 quart size because of it's fine reputation & it just looked right to me.

I originally bought this pot to boil water.The wide diameter let me take full advantage of a full flame 17500 BTU burner.For the past several months, it has done that job admirably.I never asked any more of it as I have several other pieces for the "real" cooking.

Great for baking and stove top cleans up stickons with a sinple wash cloth and dish soap.Used to make soup, spagetti sauce, and baked apples.Great with the low height, the best pan I have ever owned (50 years cooking).
