- As good as Rowenta (or even better) for the price.
I have owned Rowenta, Sunbeam, Hamilton Beach Irons etc.We replaced our Rowenta that was dropped more than once - with this B&D model. It holds more water than others, I like the very basic controls - press the button for the right textile setting and go. The sole plate is smooth - steam is powerful. Black and Decker has made a fantastic iron that well worth the money! I'd buy another one.
Rating: - Solid Iron that Gets the Job Done
I've only had this iron for a month now and I only use it 2-3 times a week, so I'm what you would call a casual ironer :-)
That said, it works well and is easy to use.I like the digital settings a lot.I only wish there was a better way to store the chord instead of just winding it up by hand.
I bought this iron because my last one (different brand) rusted--even though it wasn't supposed to.I'll have to report back in a year.My experience is most irons work well out ... Read More

This is a product I could not find locally, but once again, Amazon.com came through for me.This is one of the most efficient irons I've ever used.Plenty of steam and huge water tank, easy to read dial, good weight and size to allow for ironing all types of garments.Am really happy that I looked for this product on Amazon. com.Thank you

This iron replaces an expensive German one.It is far superior.In all aspects it outperforms any other iron I have ever owned.
I have mixed feelings about whether it should have a cord retractor as my previous iron did..The cord is long, but it is flexible and doesn't get in the way.

I love this iron.My $130 Rowenta finally died (atually I should have gotten rid of it a long time ago, as it leaked like a sieve.I went online and after reading many reviews went ahead and ordered the D2030. It's a fabulous iron.You know exactly how hot the iron is with the digital readout, so you always have the right setting. The readout is in large numbers and letters.It holds alot of water and doesn't spit, bubble or leak when it gets hot.The mist is a true mist, no water droplets to worry ... Read More
