- Works great with USB->Serial Adapter
Had no problems using this on my macbook with geocaching.com using a generic USB to Serial adapter. Cable is high quality, fit is snug with my eTrex Summit.
Rating:
- It's cheap and it works
In the spirit of another review I read on Amazon recently, I'm going to make this as succinct as possible:
"Me buy this cable.Me plug cable into computer and eTrex. Me move new firmware from computer to eTrex.New firmware work good.Me happy."
It's cheap but of good quality.I'm not worried about it falling apart.I heartily recommend this cable.

- It Works
I bought this cable along with a "USB to Serial DB9 (RS232) Adapter Cable (Garmin compatible)" from the same seller, Navsphere, to use with an Etrex and a very nice Mac app called GPSNavX. Taken together, the two cables are rather bulky - a straight Garmin-to-USB cable would be a preferable alternative, but that doesn't exist, so with that mild reservation, I'm happy. Navsphere was quick and fuss-free to deal with, so the whole experience has been positive.

- Good cable, low price
I use this cable to download information from my garmin e-trex, and I use trackmaker fot it, they works fine together.

It is a little tight going on and off the GPS - the official Garmin cable may be tight as well - just make sure you push it on all the way when using it. And - my Geko 201 has a little rubber flap that protects ... Read More
