- Poor Design
The first thing I noticed when I tried out the Maxi Backsie was that it pressed hard against my spine, which I consider very bad, esp. for the lower spine. I wouldn't want to whittle it down, either, because there would not be enough wood to withstand much weight and it's made of two pieces. I'm quite thin; maybe a fat man wouldn't mind the pressure.

- Back Roller
I owned a similar roller back in the 70s and was very happy to find one on Amazon!
It is healthy for your back as it increases circulation. It releases tension, reducing the need for pain medication.
I highly recommend it!

- Not what I expected... should have come with info on using it
I assumed The back massager.. ( my mistake by assuming ) that it would have some type of instructions that came with it to show you how to use it safely and effectively. However, it came in a plastic bag with nothing but the back massager... I saw more info on line from other companies, when I first was looking for something for my back that I could do without injuring myself more. What I saw on other sights I just assumed that Amazon would send the product with instructions. I actually was going ... Read More

- too big and could easily cause injury!
I ordered this and right out of the box, this is clearly much too high (about 2 inches) to use in the prescribed manner. If you lie on the floor and place it between you and the floor you are quite likely to be injured, if not from the device directly from the muscle strain to hold a part of your back so high off the floor, while the rest of your back has no support.
The instructions clearly state that this should not be rolled on the back (which is one way I expected to use it) and that ... Read More

- Thankful for the Reviews that Helped Me Decide to Buy This
I'm really glad I bought this roller. For such a simple tool, it is really versatile.I have a specific spot in my back that pops out of place when I am sitting for any length of time.I've always used a pillow for support (and tried many kinds), but this roller lets me support that exact spot that pops out.I often use it in place of a support pillow.Surprisingly, it isn't uncomfortable to use it this way and the roller works with most chairs.
I also use the Maxi Backsie Roller to ... Read More
