I've used this product for the past couple of months and I absolutely loved it! ...right up until this morning when it exploded in the microwave.My cats ran for cover and the KA-BOOM! sound nearly gave me heart failure... and then instead of breakfast I spent the next 45 minutes cleaning up the mess. There were eggs everywhere--on the counters, the stovetop, the floor -- every surface within 2 feet of the microwave got pelted with fine egg particles (and the microwave door was still closed). I HAVE BOUGHT OTHER COOKERS AT HIGHER PRICES AND I AM DISSATISFIED WITH THEM. FINALLLY I DECIDED TO TRY THIS NORDIC WARE EGG COOKER. IT IS VERY INEXPENSIVE WITH FREE SHIPPING AND I DIDN'T EXPECT TOO MUCH. Rating: - Who knew hard boiled eggs were for more than Easter?!A lunch box hit.
Very easy and makes perfect eggs.I can now pop hard boiled eggs into lunch boxes and even switch things up for rushed weekday morning breakfasts without advance planning thanks to the convenience.I find it slightly tricky to get the hot container from the microwave to the sink without dribbling hot water, but its still far more convenient than the big pot on the stove method.If your microwave happens to be next to your sink, all the better.

I've used this four times.The first three times, all four eggs were perfect.The fourth time all four eggs had exploded.
I was experimenting with the times to get hardboiled eggs, so first time: 6 minutes, second time: 8 minutes, third and fourth time: 10 minutes.The first and second times I got soft boiled eggs, the third time hard boiled, and, well, we know what happened the fourth time :-)
