- Very thrilled with double boiler.
fMy wife loved this double boiler for it's size and the fact that it is all stainless. Her first use was for fudge and I can attest to it's value.Very nice flavor.

- Double Toiler
I never used a real double-boiler before, always just placing a smaller pot into the boiling water of a larger one.I bought this item to try to cook in a more civilized manner.Well, maybe it's me, but I can't seem to get it to cook at all.I experimented with the lower pot's water low, high, medium, and the same with the flame. But the sauce in the smaller pot remains cold.
The DB spits water all over the stove, even at the lowest water/flame level. Not so civilized after all.

- Thin Steel, But Hey, It's Cheap!
The steel on this double boiler is very thin, almost like tin...But for occasional use it's a good value.

This gets the job done...I use it for soap melting, however it is lighter than I expected.I would have liked it to be a bit more substantial
