- Works Great!
I purchased this switch to allow me to use the single optical output from my dvd player to feed both my headphone setup, and my surround sound speakers.I tried several other products, and none worked well.I almost gave up on a good optical splitter, until I found the Nyrius SW100.This product works very well.Basically, it will allow you to either split a single source and send it to up to 3 different receivers (e.g. headphone dac/amp, surround sound receiver, computer) OR feed a single receiver ... - This is a great item!!
Like most of the other reviews we had the same problems switching... In our case we have 3 inputs that needed to be ran thru our JVC HD 7.1 system... We leave everything on DVD input on the amp and just flip the switch for our other inputs....
This unit is better than the others that are out on the market!! GET IT!!

Works, and all 6 channels are active with no loss of quality. But you have to constantly wiggle the cables in the splitter to get them to work. Once you hit a sweet spot it works fine. But when you switch optical cables, the sound drops out, and you're back to wiggling the cable to get the sound back. If you're tired of plugging and unplugging cables like I was, I suppose wiggling cables is a step up, but I can't recommend this product full-heartedly. Creating a splitter is a relatively simple concept and ... Read More

- Cheap Product
This product is not reliable. It definitely has problems with the 360, and moving from one selector to the other, feels as if the knob will break apart after 50 turns.

- Work for PS3 and TV outputs
I don't know what kind of folks keep saying that this thing doesn't work but they're full of it. It works fine on my PS3 and my Samsung TV's outputs. I bought mine from along with 2 of these cheap cables from the same seller and it all works PERFECT.
I spent a total of $21 shipped including the cables from the seller Gadget Dweeb and it was the best price out there since everyone else charges an arm and a leg for shipping. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/seller/at-a-glance.html?ie=UTF8&isAmazonFulfilled=0&orderID=105 ... Read More
