Brother The IntelliFAX-2820 is a new generation fax machine, using plain-paper laser print technology to deliver a multifunction home and office tool that can be used independently or by connection with a PC or Macintosh computer. It boasts a large memory capacity of 8MB, which stores up to 500 pages for out-of-paper reception and memory transmission applications. Enjoy faster copying at up to 15 cpm, expanded broadcasting and auto-dialing capabilities, and a higher toner cartridge yield. The IntelliFAX-2820 also includes a built-in full speed USB interface, positioning it to take on future printing jobs if a customer needs to add this function. - Nice laser fax
I purchased this fax because I have had good luck with Brother fax machines in the past.It's very similar in design and function to previous models we've owned.I expect to have this one for many years.

I bought this Brother because I was stupid enough to first buy an Epson and had to ask for forgiveness on more that one occassion due to cursing!I had an old Brother for 15 years and should have gone back to Brother instead of being fooled by the Epson price.You get what you pay for.So far so good with the paper feed and faxing.I would recommend this machine.

We purchased this as an upgrade to the one we had.I like it much better as it has a paper tray and keeps the paper clear.No problems.

Excelleent print quality, good connectability, a couple of negetives: the machine will not print a confirmation on reveived fax, indicating the number of pages received with sender information, some difficulty setting the auto redial on busy numbers. overall the unit is a high quality machine, robust and easy to operate.

I bought the 2820 because it doubles as a laser printer, and is not much bigger than the inexpensive laser printers on the market. It is capable as a printer, fax machine, and copier, although it is not a flat bed, so you can not copy some things, like a driver's license. The fax machine is not color, but this is consistent with the printer. It is also only a 14.4 kbps FAX, but I don't fax very much anyway, so it's of little consequence. Overall a fine product.
