Amazon.com Review:
This handy little three-inch knife is a true kitchen essential. Ideal for trimming, peeling, and removing blemishes on fruits and vegetables, its small size and nimble profile excel at any task that prizes delicacy, dexterity, and control. As a part of Chicago Cutlery's Walnut Tradition line of cutlery, this knife combines high performance with excellent value. Stamped rather than forged for lighter weight and a more reasonable price, the blade is made from high-carbon, 420 stainless steel with carbon to keep edges sharper longer and chromium to resist rust and stains, while Chicago's exclusive Taper Grind edge produces impressively precise slices and retains its sharpness well over time. A full tang extends from the tip of the knife to the end of the handle for improved balance and strength. A comfortable walnut handle offers the rich warmth of wood and a classic look; it's securely held to the blade with triple-compression brass rivets for added safety and stability. Chicago Cutlery covers their knives with a lifetime guarantee; they recommend hand-washing and drying for best results. --Mary Park

- Not Forged
This is not a Walnut Traditions knife, which is forged. It is instead a Walnut Signature knife, which is stamped. Amazon even acknowledges this in the Product Details section of the webpage for this knife. There it is described as a Walnut Signature Knife. Amazon has known about this misidentification since S. Kinsey's review of 4/6/08, but they have not changed the top description. That's deceptive advertising!

- My Wife's Favorite Knife
This is my wife's favorite paring knife -- it's just right for her small hand. Somehow her's got lost and she was not a happy camper. I saw this on Amazon and ordered it. Within a very short time it arrived just as promised and she's happy again!

- Wonderful paring knife.
I bought a chicago cutlery wood handle paring knife from walmart about 7 or 8 years ago, and it lasted til now. These knives are very sharp and stay that way for a very long time. I had trouble replacing it , so of course i turned to AMAZON, they always have everything.
