- At least it's pretty.
I have had this wok for some time now but I just don't love it. What I find is that, being cast iron, this pan really only heats up on the part of the surface that is immediately on top of the base.The heat does not spread well.It's essentially a 14" wok that has a 6" cooking surface.Really disappointing.Food takes forever to cook.
In general I absolutely love cast iron.But this wok is not great, and especially not considering the price.

I debated on purchasing this wok for several weeks.Our family already owns a large set of Le Creuset because we prefer to cook with cast iron cookware for health reasons.My hesistation on this purchase was ONLY the price.I did search high and low and could not find this under $199.The fact that Amazon offers free shipping is a huge bonus.After weeks of delay, I finally made this purchase and could not be happier.Le Creuset as a whole is an outstanding product with so many beautiful colors. ... I have been using the Le Creuset Wok for about 2 months now and I love it. Iuse it to make Chinese stir fry, but I have also used it to steam items and make fried chicken. The heat on the wok, never really went up to the temperature I needed it to be at for the fried chicken, but it did the job nonetheless. It's been great for stir frying and for frying whole fish. I haven't had any problems with my food sticking. I had some problems when I first used it, but I have been spraying a small bit of olive oil ... Read More

The Le Creuset wok was a Christmas gift for my wife. She likes it, therefore I like it.
