- Not worth the money
I bought this shaver just over 2 years ago. In that time, it went in for service twice for a battery that would not hold a charge. Now, after the warranty just expired, all the lights went on and I could not shut it off. When the battery finaly died, it would not charge up again. I'm just going to junk it and get a Braun.
It shaved OK, but the quality is just not there.

I've been using this for four years now. Don't do as they say, do as I say and you'll be as happy as I am with it.
Don't charge/clean it every day. If you want your battery to last, do what I do! Only clean it in the Jet Clean when your battery level is at the bottom bar. Tap out cuttings once in the middle of the cycle and once just before cleaning. In fact, run it under the sink before you clean it. Awesome shaver.Provides a close, quick & quiet shave.I bought a Braun Pulsonic 9595 last May and was so unhappy with it, I decided to try the Norelco 8160XLCC.The Norelco provides a much better shave on the neck especially, where the hair can be longer, and is also quicker & quieter than the Braun. (I used to have to wear ear plugs with the Braun to keep out the loud hum of the shaver.)I just wish I hadn't wasted my money ($215) on the Braun in the first place.

I've been using a Quadra Action 7866XL for several years and it workedwell, but decided to upgrade to this new model. But it wasn't an upgrade and was very disappointing; it does not shave nearly as closely or effectively as my old Quadra action razor, so I bought new heads for the 7866 XL and continue to use that.
