After a couple of days, scanner is working very good. It is very quiet but found it a "bit" slow for the price.

I bought this scanner to replace my horrible Fujitsu ScanSnap FI-4110EOX2.After a week of ownership and 4700 pages scanned, I am delighted at how reliably the auto document feeder works.Most of my papers are damaged in some way (staple holes, creases, wrinkles, punched holes, or some combination of the mentioned).The DR-2050C handled most of them just fine, and far, far more reliably than my FI-4110EOX2.I would say I've had half a dozen jams so far.I am very pleased.

A good desktop scanner good for prodution environments to get documents into DMS system.Fast, duplex, good driver support.Works on Vista x64.Recommend over flatbeds.

I installed 27 of these in a medium-sized law firm in 2005-2006.In the 3 1/2 years since, only ONE has needed replacement.They're wonderful units that do a good job of creating OCRed PDF's quickly.The installation is simple - not intuitive - but simple.Install the drivers and Capture Perfect and you're ready to go.The secret to the installation is to leave the CD in the drive and you won't have any problems.Capture Perfect is a small and quick program without a lot of bloat - it doesn't ... In the old dayswe used to copy all the documents for our small business and then store them in boxes for at least seven years.Sorting, stapling and putting in order thousands of pages took so much time.Now all we do is scan the documents in pdf format and from time to time back up on DVDs.Canon DR-2050C does the job just about perfectly.Our daily scanning volume is about 100 pages but a couple of days a month we scan more than 1000 pages per day.This is where the small size of the scanner ...
