Rating: - Great speakers for your laptop
Let's face it - integral laptop speakers are just not made for music. These speakers have really good sound for their size. They are well-made, easy to set up (plug in to a USB port and you're done!), and have a very nice storage case. Occasionally they act up, but I've found if I just unplug and re-plug them in, Vista reinstalls the drivers and everything is fine. Overall I'm very pleased.
Rating: - Quite good for portable sound on a macbook!
I'm on a Macbook and I am quite surprised how good these sound being just connected to a USB port. Very good bass and soundfield. I think these are a great portable solution and great for watching movies on the macbook as the volume on the laptop is notoriously low.
Rating: - not loud enough in a vehicle
I was disappointed in the speakers because I specifically purchased them in order to listen to movies, presentations, etc. in our conversion van since my laptop doesn't have very good speakers. Unfortunately, these didn't cut it in a van with the noise from the road, heater, etc.
Rating: - Work just fine with Vista.
Not sure why some people can't get these to work with Vista, but I suspect it is because their drivers need to be updated. The speakers sound great. I did have the problem with them moving when the sound is turned up, but not excessively. I love the fact they come with a carrying case, one less thing for me to worry about in my laptop bag. I would definitely recommend these speakers.
Rating: - Great speakers with good sound quality
I had a low volume in my HP laptop and it was kind of hard to hear sometime while watching the movies. But after I bought these speakers, I never had that issue again. These speakers are great, easy to use with a good sound quality, at a reasonable price.
