- ohhh EA...how you disappoint...
As been said by many, this game lacked all the wonderful things the first three games had.
First, the idea of the using the Pensieve to access areas and not being able to explore the castle and grounds...really kinda stinks. That was what I looked forward to in the first three games. So many awesome secret passages and the bean bonus room, all gone. Plus, you don't get to see the interior of the castle at all, and the cut scenes are disappointing.

- What a shame...
I have played the first three Harry Potter games on PC, and the one thing I enjoyed most was exploring Hogwarts, going on missions, and going through classes, and interacting with students.Ironically, I got to play Order of the Phoenix first which is AMAZING.Then I recieved Goblet of Fire as a gift.I was really disheartened by the game itself. It was a little difficult, but the controls were kind of confusing. The graphics are good. But you couldn't really explore, everything was a mini ... - Terrible controls, don't buy it
We have Prisoner of Azkaban for the PC.It's a much better game than this one.You are actually allowed to use the mouse, unlike in GoF!We also have the Order of the Phoenix for Wii.That's got it's problems too, but at least the game is written with that platform in mind - this game is simply a Playstation game plopped onto a PC platform.Ugh.Buy Azkaban instead, and don't waste your money on this one.

- The Negative Reviews are Wrong Here's Why
The vast majority of Amazon reviews cite the following complaint about this game:
- Impossibly frustrating point of view and character control system
Everyone who gives this complaint is using a keyboard and playing single player. The game is awesome! It's reminiscent of a modern day gauntlet -- but IF AND ONLY IF you use 2-3 nice analog controllers and play with other people.
I almost skipped it because of the bad reviews; I'm so glad I went with my gut. ... Read More

- Controls not explained!
Let me start off with the good things:
-the graphics are phenomenal
-you can choose your character
Now, the bad things:
-unlike the other HP games, you CANNOT wander around the Hogwarts grounds, which I enjoyed.
-The mouse has NO action whatsoever, not even in the main menu!
-I get stuck on so many levels, because most controls are NOT EXPLAINED! Not even in the manual!
-your "friends" (whoever you're not playing with) are so slow in following you and are ... Read More
