I've been using the more expensive brands over the years (Truefitt & Hill, Taylor of Old Bond Street), and thought I'd give this cheaper brand a try for a change. It does not even come close.
Not only do I have to use twice as much of the product to get a shave, but it instantly dries on my face and I'm afraid that it's going to cause a nasty cut if I don't keep wetting it.
I've used other cheap brands like Palmolive and Colgate with similar results, but this was an even bigger disappointment. ... Read More

if you dont want to pay about 20 bucks with shipping and everything, just go to your local bath and body works and pick up the co bigelow shave soap in the green tube. at my bath and body works its about 10 bucks. its the same exact cream just under a different name and proraso actually makes the co bigelow one as well. it gives you a great lather and shave. i havent tried many of the other creams, but i was used to using the aerosol cans which got annoying. dont let the price of the product turn you away ... I bought this along with the merker long handled razor for fathers day for my husband. He absolutely loves it. I tried this cream on my legs, and was amazed at how a little goes a long ways with this stuff. Yes its a bit pricey, but my husband has never had a closer shave in his life. And my legs were smooth and silky after using this stuff! It is definetly a manly smell. The man in your life will love this shaving cream!
