Product Description:
Crosley's Kettle Classic Desk Phone captures the essence of the classic 1930's European-style telephone. This beauty was originally cast in a heavy-duty metal and then later reconditioned in a lightweight thermoplastic giving it a more stylistic approach and curved design. The Kettle Classic Desk Phone successfully combines industrial technology with design-inspired craftsmanship right down to the classic cloth cord. This "fat style" phone features a substantial "hoof" and true to the original incorporates a mechanical bell in the base.

- Cute phone
I've only had this phone for a short while and it works just fine. The ringer isn't too loud or soft. It's just right. The buttons push easily
and they don't stick. The phone is lightweight and has a nice black matte
finish that hardly shows fingerprints. However, it does show dust. The
telephone reception is good. You can change from tone dialing to pulse
dialing with the flick of a switch located underneath the phone. You can change the volume or turn off the ringer too. ... Read More

- Good price for a good replica
As noted by others, the included cord is curly plastic (not straight cloth-covered), the matte black plastic does not look exactly like old bakelite, and there is no recess behind the cradle for easy lifting. But, the phone closely mimics the antique, looks great in a room filled with vintage furniture and costs 1/5 the price of a rebuilt original phone. It worked perfectly out of the box and the old-fashioned bell ringer is just neat!

- Great look!
Love the phone, love the look..I find the ringer volume a bit loud as I installed the phone on a bedisde table, but it doesn't really matter to me.

- Very Happy With This Phone
I have had this phone for a few months now, and held off writing a review until now, because a different model of classic phone I bought first, quit working after a couple of days. NOT the case here - this CR62 Kettle phone has been working great! Nice mechanical bell ringer and heavy construction. Quite authentic looking.
Rating:
- Not a quality product.
I just got my phone today and I'm ready to return it.
Reasons:
1.The web description of the phone is false. This phone does NOT come w/ the promised "cloth cord" shown on the picture, it's just the regularspring plastic one...A big detail for who wants a vintage look phone.
2.The body of the phone( since not in metal ) should be at least a stronger heavier plastic, great disappointment!
It looks and feel like a cheap toy phone you mightgive for babies to play, not at ... Read More
