- Great until handle broke
I have had this crockpot for about a year and have not used it more than 8 times. Yet today the handle broke off into pieces while I was simply moving the pot on my countertop. I am lucky it didn't break while I was lifting the pot with hot food. The remaining handle is also cracked and would proably have broken off as well. Needless to say, I am not pleased. Rival did have a recall for some of their crocks but apparently this model was not included yet it has the same problems with the handles. ... Read More

So far, so good. It has performed as advertised. I am happy with the cooker

I love my Crock Pot.The only problems with this model are that the high setting is pretty hot-which can be good if you want to cook things quickly, but if you leave it on all day, I would recommend using the low setting, even if the recipe calls for the high setting.It also has a tendency to rattle if moisture gets stuck between the lid and the pot(especially when using the high setting).Not having a timer hasn't been a problem; I will just leave it on the low setting, and I am usually gone ... I bought this for my household because we're always coming home after work and too tired to start cooking. Now, we're able to throw ingredients in it before work, set it on low, and head to work and when we come home, it's a ready-made meal! This size is pretty big for just the three of us, so we end up with leftovers for lunch the next day when we use recipes from the internet. The only downside to this crock pot is that there is no timer, so you have to start it before you leave the house if you ... Read More
