- very reliable and lightweight
This knife is a great asset to my kitchen.Not only is it lightweight, but the handle itself has great grip.The edge of the knife is quite sharp.I have owned this knife for about half a year and have yet to sharpen it.Everyone who comes over to help cook and has used this knife has been quite impressed.

I considered upgrading my knived on and off for some time but finally bought two of the styles of Pure Komachi sold via Amazon at the four-for-three special. I am very very pleased. Not only do they look stylish and avant garde, they slice very very thin with little pressure and have a nice feel in the hand. Highly recommended for the skilled home chef.

I bought this for my wife for a few reasons. She likes purple/pink. She always throws our Shun Classics into the sink or dishwasher. She thinks our Shuns are too heavy. Perfect solution. Relatively cheap, light, sharp. Don't care if she throws it in the dishwasher or leaves it on the sink or cuts with it on a ceramic board. It's been abused for months now, only now am i noticing the blade is getting dull. However, for about $20, it has and will serve its purpose for a few more months.
