Rating: - Great Air Purifier
We bought this for our daughter's bedroom after we found out that she is allergic to our cats.The three speed are great.We put it on the daytime setting during the day and it does make a good bit of noise on this setting.During the night we put it in night mode and it is very very quiet.I highly reccommend it!

I bought this product solely for providing "white noise" in my twins' nursery.During the day, when there is minimal noise in the house, I put it on the lowest or medium speed.In the evening, when the other kids are home (and bathing in the adjacent room,) I put it on the highest setting.
The highest setting I'd say is like sitting next to a running vacuum cleaner.The lowest setting would be tolerable for me if I had to have an air purifier in the room all the time.

The Air Purifier works very well. It is quiet enough to sleep at night. 9Big Plus) Whe I first started the Ioniizer it would snap every 15-30 seconds for about 24 hours. I was ready to return it, but it now only does it Occasionally.
My Unit was scratched during shipment, but I decided not to return it and have to wait for a new one. (Packing was not the best!)

I was given this purifier (actually the similar 30748) after my landlord ordered to help with a neighbor's smoke. I had ordered a Surround Air 3000 for myself. I plugged this in and noticed how loud it was. The filter is like an accordion folded sheet of vinyl fabric single thickness. The unit emits air that smells like burning plastic for lack of better term - very strange but the unit is working fine or at least blows air. It actually makes the air smell worse that the smoke almost.

We purchased this because we have 2 cats and one of our friends always has a terrible allergic reaction when he visits.Things were getting pretty bad as he could only handle about 30 minutes in our family room before having to leave - in misery.
After placing this in the room and running it on the medium setting (with the ionizer turned on)for a few days our friend visited, stayed for 3 hours and had no allergic reaction - at all.
