- This is THE preamp for any serious vinyl collector.
This little preamp is in itself a sound marvel. It has a superb phono preamp built in, which can be disabled if you like to use the preamp as a transfer device for a cassette player, or a Reel To Reel, for instance. It has an USB port to connect the preamp to the computer, so you can transfer any sound source to your computer without using the computer sound card.

This item works beautifully!I plugged it in and was "ripping" 33's and 45's immediately.The only thing I noticed is that despite the presence of an RIAA filter in the schematics, the resulting .WAV files had too much bass and too little treble, which I had to fix in software.

- Great for converting LPs to digital
I can't quite say enough about this product. It takes a phono cartridge signal and passes it to your PC via a USB connection. In conjuction with the Spin It Again software, it takes your LP collection and converts them into MP3s. I've loaded up my iPhone with about 500 songs (so far) and I couldn't be happier.

I use this amp to move music from vinyl to CD. It sits between a Dual Turntable and a notebook computer.
This device delivers. I can not find any fault with it.

I have been looking for a good way to digitize my LPs and tapes for some time.I am just a music fan - not an extreme audiophile or techie.I have a lot of albums in good condition that I am just too cheap to rebuy in a different format.I have decent stereo equipment.My experience with Ion and Sony USB turntables was that the turntables were of very low quality.Both worked alright for a few records and then broke.
