- Pros and Cons. Have had for 5 years now, own two dogs.
Foremost the Dyson Animal is a good vacuum. But it's just one of many floor tools we own. I have yet to find anything that does it all. I live in Burbank, CA and it's real forte is picking up minute particulate that comes from all the cars in L.A. I'm always amazed at the volume of sooty dirt that the canister has trapped. If you have allergies (as I do) I would highly recommend it as the HEPA filter does a great job of capturing allergens. It's great with the dog hair too on the second floor carpet ... Read More

As a long time fan of Dyson, we recently upgraded to the Dyson DC15 and it ROCKS!!For over 5 years we had the original yellow Dyson DC07 and after years of faithful service we decided to get a new one.And I'm so glad we did!Dyson has made so many ergonomic improvements on the DC15 its a pleasure to vacuum :)That's right I said it!Vacuuming is fun and easy once again! Our DC07 is still works well and we're keeping it for the more dirty clean ups like the garage.Thank you Dyson for another ... - Hard surfaces not the best
We have an Argentine Dogo, which can only be described as a huge white dog that sheds like no other animal I have ever encountered. We talked about getting this vacuum for over a year and last week bought one.We have to admit, on carpet this machine is just amazing, period! Picks up dirt and pet hair that will scare you, seriously. However our entire first floor is hard wood and tile.It was very difficult to maneuver this machine on those surfaces, and it is kind of heavy. It scratched our wood ... Read More

- Godawful Design, Bad Ergonomics, Breaks Your Back
After 1.5 years, the design has not changed.
The hose completely came apart. It weighs a TON and has the DUMBEST, lousiest design ever.
1. cannot vacuum under furniture because it is so large,
2. the hardwood floor attachment pushes stuff around because the bristles block the suction
3. the hose and entire design are incredibly akward --to get suction the hose will bend and block air, thus you must often hold + unbend the hose while simultaneously vacuuming.
4. you will ... Read More

- An amazing WELL MADE vacuum!
Well, I purchased this vacuum 2 years ago as a Christmas gift for my mother. At the time it was $147.00 due to an Amazon special.I have never ever spent so much on a vacuum but after alot of research I decided it was probably worth it after all the other vacuums that we had gone through. We have numerous pets, a dog, multiple cats, and a bird.At the time we were going through vacuum cleaners like candy, we purchased a hoover (lasted less than a year) we purchased a bissell (lasted a little over a year) ...
