- every day starts in a bad mood...
i'm a big fan of customer loyalty and when i was a starving artist in my 20's i decided to spend the extra money for a braun coffee maker. that machine lasted about 12 years so when it died recently i felt that i made a wise decision by buying a braun product before so i, of course, wanted to buy a braun again. i regret to say it was a bad decision.

This is a very good coffeemaker.I have been using Braun coffeemakers for a few years now and now own 2. Moved the second one to the motorhome. The filters are expensive but worth the cost as friends coffeemakers just don't make as good tasting coffee.

Came with a defective filter basket (not from Amazon), which took over 2 months to be replaced. Leaks coffee over the side sometimes. Not as well made as my previous Braun which I liked very much. Filter cost is somewhat expensive. Looks nice.

I returned to the Braun brand, having spent a couple of years with a Krups knock-off I got free with an order of Gevalia Coffee. When the Gevalia maker developed an electrical short, that was it. Apparently two years was long enough for me to forget why I hated my last Braun.
The carafe is cheap. This one is only 10 cups, which okay, I knew up front. But it was hard to find a programmable 12 cup. I replaced the carafe from my last Braun 5 times in a year. My own fault? Maybe. But I never had ... Read More

This is my second Braun coffee maker. I have researched most brands of makers & in my opinion Braun makes the best one. It is the only one that I could find with a 1100 watt element that makes HOT coffee. The others were 900 watts or less & if you add creamer the coffee is only luke warm.
