- Makes great coffee
Bought this to replace a Mr. Coffee that we've had for years. The adjustable hot plate temperature is handy, as is the countdown timer for the auto shutoff. Other than that, it makes great coffee with no problems so far.

- A good value
We've had our Mr. Coffee coffee maker for about a year now.I can't say exactly how old it is because it came used from my mom's house. It retails for around $49.99 and you can't beat that.It has many features that are somewhat uncommon for machines in that price range. It has a cleaning function, a programmable timer, brew strength and of course the "pause" feature for pouring a cup of coffee during the brew process.I have recently replaced the unit because it is leaking black coffee sludge ... - It works fine after 2 years
Not sure what everyone is complaining about. If the coffee tastes bad, perhaps you're buying the wrong brand (hint: Starbucks is better than Folger's).Or maybe you're using too much water, or too much coffee grounds, or hard water, or you need to clean the thing. We use filtered water and 1TBSP coffee per 6oz cup.We also use the "strong" setting but the difference from "regular" is marginal.Yours might operate slightly differently and as with any coffee maker you have to experiment.

- Worthless piece of junk
I've had this coffee maker for 2 months and now it won't brew any coffee. The pump that draws the water up has died! Sounds like it is sucking air instead. Much like the sound you get at the end of brew cycle when the water is gone.

- This Mr. Coffee should be could Mr. Cold
This coffee maker looks slick and is programmable which is nice if you like cold coffee. There is a alarm that beeps when the coffee is ready for you to drink which sometimes never beeps. I hate this coffee maker but I got it as a gift so I can not return it. DON'T BY THIS THING!!!
