The Rapid Reel 150-foot perpendicular wall reel features rustproof die-cast aluminum construction for added longevity and durability against the elements. Ideal for neatly storing hoses up to 150 feet long, the reel mounts to the sides of houses or shops, and mounts easily to both masonry and wood surfaces. Four mounting holes are pre-drilled for 16-inch stud walls, and the bronze powder coating blends with almost any color of siding or brick. The included bass swivel comes backed with a 10-year limited warranty. No hose is included.

Rating: - Finally, a hose reel that won't fall apart!
We have purchased several plastic hose reels that don't last and don't work very well. The rapid reel is metal and comes with a secure anchoring system and clear instructions for installing it. My husband was very impressed. We can pull our 100' hose all the way out and then roll it up easily. It was expensive, but well worth the money.

This item is good & sturdy, it should hold up well under Gulf coast conditions...it survived Ike!!The negative: this reel doesn't hold the length of hose as specified though (maybe 125', but definitely not 150').
Rating: - Great unit, hard to mount
Once installed it's solid and far superior the the plastic models I used before. One issue: following the instructions you have to work around the hose reel to tighten the mounting bolts on the right hand side.I'd suggest modifying the instructions so that you feed the hose in, tighten all bolts and THEN finish assembly.
