Made from 100% Recycled Chlorine-Free Paper
By choosing Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels, you'll be making an important environmental difference immediately. These paper towels are not whitened with chlorine and are made from 100% recycled paper (80% post-consumer, 20% pre-consumer). Hypo-allergenic, unbleached, strong and absorbent, these towels will help you keep your home and the environment clean.
Post-consumer paper is paper that has been recycled at home or at the office. Buying post-consumer paper helps finish the job you started--of saving the earth's natural resources, including trees, water, and energy. And using products made from post-consumer recycled materials helps reduce the need for virgin wood pulp, which means more trees are left standing. Trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide--a greenhouse gas that's the primary contributor to global warming. In fact, a single tree, over its lifetime, absorbs about one tone of CO2. To put it another way, a ton of recycled paper saves seventeen trees.
If every household in the U.S. replaced just one roll of 120 sheet virgin fiber paper towels with 100% recycled ones, we could save: 1 million trees, 2.6 million cubic feet of landfill space (equal to over 3,800 full garbage trucks), 367 million gallons of water (a year's supply for 2,800 families of four), and avoid 38,000 tons of pollution. And because these towels are unbleached and have not been treated with chlorine, you can safely compost them in your garden when you're done using them.

- Lousy shipping
The box was left on my back porch in the rain with no bag over it.The entire thing fell apart when I tried to move it.This was after I happened to look out and see it, as no notice was left at the front door alerting me to its presence. There comes a point at which free shipping is not worth it.
And, did you know that the plastic they use to individually wrap the rolls isn't waterproof?I DO.
I'm cancelling my regular order immediately. What a kick in the teeth.
Rating:
- Lacking in quality
I wish I could recommend this product, given that it is environmentally friendly, but I cannot. I recently tried them out and they perform poorly. The sheets seem to be slightly smaller than standard paper towels, and they fall apart quickly when wet. In fact, even when they're dry, pieces rip off way too easily when just trying to grab a sheet off the roll. They don't soak up much of any liquid before they're completely useless. So, to do the job of one major brand name paper towel, I need to use ... Read More

- Not worth it
These paper towels are comparable to the ones you would find from a dispenser at the movies or other public restrooms. They are not strong, not even close. They are very thin and you would need at least 2 to do the same job as a better paper towel- ie. bounty. And the roll itself is actual smaller than a regular paper towel roll. I got a roll for free and I would personally never waste my money on these paper towels. And this may be a minor gripe, but the actual brown color of the towel is very tacky ... Read More

- good paper towels when needed
Normally we use towels or rags for clean up. But, sometimes you need paper towels. These are great paper towels. I like the fact that they are all recycled, not bleached, two ply, thick, non-shedding, and 120 sheet rolls. For the price on amazon, it is a great deal compared to the store. With 30 rolls in a case, you won't need to order these too often. Use subscribe and save for more savings. I also recommend Seventh Generation toilet paper. We order that through amazon.com subscribe and save as well.
Rating:
- These will rip every time, guaranteed
Pros:
- Fairly cheap.
- Environmentally friendly
Cons:
- Poor quality. I have gone through at least 50 rolls of these things and never once pulled a sheet off the roll without ripping it (unless I hold the perforation with one hand while ripping carefully with the other). These are not strong paper towels at all. For the price, I'm okay with that and will continue to purchase them, but make sure you're aware before ordering.
