- Good idea for a beginner, but there are better options...
Recieved as a gift but found the motor too weak for my tastes. Returned it and bought Crescent AC8NKWMP 8-Inch Rapid Slide Adjustable Wrench - much better (and stronger) one handed adjustment without using a battery.

- Gizmo Toy Wrench
Works like the chinese tool that it is. It is fun to watch the jaws move shut. It looks like it would squeeze shut but put your finger in there and it barely closes tight. When the battery goes dead the fun is gone and you throw it in the bottom draw because by that time you'll realize it isn't worth the effort of putting in new AAA s.

My husband is a construction professional and loves trying "new" tools and gadgets when they come out.Well, I bought this for him as a stocking stuffer type gift and he says it works horribly.If he uses it, very rarely, all he does is complain and then he gets, what he calls, "a real wrench".
Not recommended for the the real toolman!

I got one for my birthday in June 2008.The wrench jaws operate smoothly but the wrench is not strong enough to loosen tight bolts.Many a time, I've come close to tearing apart the claws, and have had to throw it aside to use a real wrench that got the job done.So, for easy jobs like loosening nuts on a bike, this will work, but for real work, this wrench is not worthy of sitting in my tool box.

Thought I was getting a good deal until I saw the same item in sawgrass Mall in Ft. Lauderdale for $10.00. That was upsetting!
