Heavy ga. metal allows for even cooking & no hot spots. I got this pan on 11-21-08 and used it for thanksgiving diner.I love trying new sauces,and this is excellent for making them in.Pan dripping gravy is easy to make,because it doesn't stick.

I have owned a set of Calphalon Cookware 5-6 years. I wore out the inside of my 10" fry pan so I bought this pan to replace the old one. This 10" Saute Pan is great but very heavy - a little deeper than my previous 10" frypan (saute pan). The words seem to get fancier - fry pan I understand!!
It makes more sense for me to buy individual pans that I need to replace the old and worn pans or pots than buying another complete set that is very expensive. Several of the pots/pans I very seldom ... Read More
