Sophisticatedly sweet, these Le Creuset ramekins make darling presentation for individual chocolate mousse portions or crème brulee. They are also a charming way to dish up strawberries, nuts, or candies at showers and brunches. Designed to go from the freezer to the oven to the table, the pieces are crafted from Le Creuset's premium stoneware with enamel glazing. Heavy-duty in spite of their petite shaping, the ramekins distribute and retain heat excellently, and they are safe in both microwave and conventional oven. These ramekins are very nice looking and feel substantial.They are freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher-safe, which make them very convenient for a variety of uses.I think they're the perfect size for side dishes (individual green bean casseroles or au gratin potatoes!) or for a smaller serving of hot or cold dip for parties.They're also a nice size for single-serving fruit crisp.Here's a recipe:

If you make dessert souffles (chocolate or jam-filled) these small heart shaped ramekins are just the thing to dress up your table. THey also hold cheese, dips or other small side dishes. The colors are very modern and interesting; if you know someone who has used deep brown and kiwi or aqua in their decor, this would make quite a housewarming gift. Or Valentine's day present.
