I purchased this product two years ago and love it. However, there is one issue with it. As other reviewers stated the mechanism that lets the lid open and close broke off after one year. However, my husband was able to repair it by using super glue. This method worked two more times. Now, that trash can is two years old we can no longer repair it. We are now purchasing our second iTouchless trash can. I hope that they will think about selling the replacement for that mechanism so that when it breaks ... Read More

I bought the iTouchless garbage can, because it was everything I was looking for, I loved it...at first.It does takes standard 13 gallon bags which I was happy about, I even thought that the bag ring was a good idea...at first.Now that we have been using it for about 1 month, I am ready to buy a different type of garbage can.I HATE the bag ring, it doesn't fit right half the time, the bag gets all screwed up & falls in.I am tired of fighting with the bag & ring every time I need to take the garbage ... Just as the pins lifting the lid wore out, I checked amazon.com to see if another one was available.It was, and for $60 with free shipping.What a buy!I love it and use it at least 50 times a day.Also, the pin system used to lift the lid was improved to make it it even better.

Is very convenient.But have had two in the past two and a half years.The mechanism that allows the lid to lift and lower breaks after about a year.There isn't any way to repair this problem, just have to purchase a new one.After two I am going to try a similiar product but different manufacturer.
