- Get the right cable!!
This cable says it is for the iMac. Most internet sources say you need a mini DVI adapter to attach a second monitor to an Intel core duo iMac. Even Apple's own web site says this. However if, like me, you have a 24" core duo iMac (the brand new version as of May 2009) this cable will NOT work - you need a Mini DisplayPort output adapter instead. This is the same adapter that is used when connecting an extra monitor to an existing Mac cinema display monitor. Why this is not made more clear on Apple's ... Read More

- WARNING for Macbook Pro to Cintiq connections
This adapter will not work with my new Macbook Pro 17" and it will not work with a Wacom Cintiq. The pinout on the DVI has too narrow a slot for the blade and does not have sockets for the four pins surrounding the blade on the Cintiq. The Mac end is too small for the socket on the Macbook Pro.

- Display IMac Screens on a Wide Screen Monitor
I do a lot of video editing for a not-for-profit community cable channel.I wanted to display in process production screens on a wide screen HDTV (37" Sharp Aquos) as I edited the video from my iMAC.Because this adapters output is DVI which the Aquos does not support I decided to install a passive DVI-HDMI adapter and a 15' HDMI cable. The result is wonderful. The presentation is crisp and clear and the installation was simplicity itself. If you're looking to display your iMAC screen images on a ... - Works Well - Good Price Too
This item arrived quickly as advertised in the OEM packaging. The item works well, but keep in mind that DVI transfers only video signal and will not transfer audio. I wasn't expecting that, so I had to run separate cabling from my iMac to Bravia 52" display. The adapter was very well priced too.

- Simple to install, works great!
There was literally no setup for my 1080p Westinghouse HDTV.I connected my DVI cable to the adapter, plugged it into my iMac, and it just popped up as a second desktop (at 1920x1080 automatically).
No setup required, easy connection...Works great!
