- Ten years old and going strong
We received this for a wedding gift over ten years ago.I was only looking here because I broke the carafe last night and need a new one.I saw that it was getting mixed reviews and wanted to share our love for our capresso.Like I said, we've had it for over ten years and use it every day - when there's company over sometimes 2-3 times in one day.It makes for a great alarm clock and the coffee is still great.We broke the little spring on the filter last year, so no more stop and pour, but ... - Limited lifespan, but great while it lasted
We got this as a wedding gift 6 years ago and we loved the grind and brew aspect.It made perfect coffee all the time and the swinging arm action after grinding seemed so clever.However, within 2 years, the orange display started fading in parts -- but we could still work around it by guessing.Then 4 or 5 years later the grinding mechanism slowed down so that we had to grind coffee 2-3 times to get the right strength of coffee.The grinder still works, but we now just use this like a regular ... This is a wonderful coffee maker.I love how it grinds the whole beans in a compartment away from the water and filter compartments.This keeps the steam away from the grinder and the grounds do not get caked in.I fill the grinder with beans and add the water to the reservoir the night before, setting the timer for the morning.It makes wonderful coffee from the fresh beans.I definately recommend this coffee maker.

I bought this product about 6 years ago.I was impressed from the first brew.The coffee was great!The freshly ground beans seemed to make the difference.Then as time went by, certain plastic parts of the machine began to warp from heat exposure.I've had to replace the cover over the ground beans twice already.It has always leaked a little water and as time has worn on it leaks pretty badly today.Out of 10 cups of water we rarely get more than 5 cups of coffee.In the beginning the loss ...
