Before you take Tawny out of the corral, make sure she is groomed properly by brushing her silky blonde mane. And don't forget to tack her with her flower-trimmed saddle, pink bridle, and matching saddle pad. Tawny also loves to hold the basket in her mouth as she carries Barbie around.
Tawny measures approximately 10 inches tall from the hooves to the top of her head. She is the ideal height to carry a 12-inch posable doll (not included). This horse treads easily over hard surfaces, but carpet and uneven surfaces are a challenge. And she withstands mild falls and rough child's play without missing a beat. The bridle and saddle slip on easily and her mouth is magnetic to hold the basket. She walks with or without a rider, but it is much more fun to watch Barbie ride around. Tawny requires four AAA batteries (not included) to bring her alive.

- broke the first day
my 4 yr. old daughter loves horses and wanted this one. When we put the batteries in it it worked for about 15min. then it stopped. I thought it was the batteries so I reinserted new ones and it never worked again!!!

I bought this horse as a Christmas present for my five-year old daughter.She had asked Santa for a horse, so this was perfect.She was so excited when she opened the package.She and her cousin, who is also five, have been playing with it almost non-stop since then.It really works like the description.You just have to make sure it's on a flat, hard surface.Good buy!

I goit this for my 5 year old horse mad daughter for Christmas.It's GREAT fun - but doesn't always work.Just when I think I have to wrap it up and return it - it starts working again.It's SUCH a cool toy - it's a major bummer when Barbie can't take her afternoon ride as scheduled!I'm glad I got it, but my little one hardly ever uses it now (early January) beacuse it's unreliable.

My daughter got Barbie and the horse for Christmas.She was very frustrated when Barbie didn't fit on the horse.We had to go buy another Barbie that would fit but still she didn't stay on and keeps falling off.My daughter is 4 years old and wanted everyone to know this.
