Works great and a welcome relief from the blade. Not as close as a blade, but that's the case w/all E-razors. Also, keep in mind the recharge stand doesn't come w/this unit.
You should factor in the cost to replace the rotary blades soon because the ones that come w/the factory remanf unit don't last very long for some reason.

This razor gives a great shave.The high-speed blade cuts well and gives a close shave.It is quiet and easy on the face.My previous Norelco razor was good, but this one is quite an improvement.

I have had a couple of shavers after deciding to not 'wet-shave' anymore. I have a problematic skin as it comes to hear grow. With this shaver on the sensative mode, it saves good. De trimmer on the back is great too. My prior shavers shaved 'bad-to-ok', so I am glad I spent a couple more dollars on the 9190 (in stead of the coolskin or 6/7xxx types).
I am not much of a Braun fan...

- Inflight Shave?
Not as good as a shaver, I use 5 blades, but when you are at 35000 Feet in plane, 10 hours into a flight, it's nice to get rid of the stubble.
Which is the reason I bought it, for in flight travel shaving.
Battery is great 72 mins it claims and I bet it would better.
If you don't have access to a wet shaver place, and feeling rough, this is the 2 mins shave and good to go. It's quiet, but don't be standing out in the transfer lounge.

The fact that you can hold this under tap water to clean it is alone a great feature. But there is so much more, including the way it shaves your face without pulling on your beard even if it is long (most times for me). It also has a nice battery indicator screen and notifies you when you need to clean the thing. The battery lasts forever, seriously it is sometimes hard to believe how long it lasts.. buy this shaver, it is awesome.
